Hi all!
Weather conditions: sunny with a few clouds, 27 degrees and windy
Are you in for a great challenge of golf or are you a bit of a masochist? If so, know that you will be served as you wish by going to play the Barefoot Dye course ( https://www.facebook.com/TheDyeClubatBarefootResort and https://barefootgolf.com/barefoot-golf-courses/dye-course/), a second “devilish outing” in as many days on this beautiful Monday afternoon.
Barefoot Dye, wich we played from the white tees at 6,005 yards (5021 yards for the ladies), is probably the one of four courses offered at the Barefoot Complex (the others being Barefoot Fazio, Barefoot Love and Barefoot Norman) that requires more precision than power from you, because the “pitfalls” that await you are numerous, which will undoubtedly make your golf experience memorable in every sense of the word (for your good shots, but also for your bad ones). So, good luck lowering your handicap! 😉
In terms of conditions, it was WOW! We did putt on the most beautiful greens since our arrival in Myrtle Beach (it was our 5th round on Monday, May 6, 2024), with a speed of 10 on the Stimpmeter. Be careful, however, if you are not able to make your ball bite on them with your approach shots, because you then risk finding yourself in a bad position. That said, the other course elements were just as impeccable, as it’s almost always the case when you find yourself at this complex.
Although they are all very attractive, our favorite holes were #5 (par 5 of 472 yards, 401 yards for the ladies), #6 (par 3 of 155 yards, 110 yards for the ladies), #10 (par 4 of 287 yards, 256 yards for the ladies), #15 (par 3 of 162 yards, 119 yards for the ladies) and #18 (par 4 of 368 yards, 276 yards for the ladies).
For a different, premium golf experience, you can't go wrong with Barefoot Dye!

Another solid trip report Denis on the Dye Course, saying it is devilish is kind, others have a few more colourful words for it. They say a picture is worth a thousands words, yours are going to get the golfers talking for sure, keep up the good work. Also have fun when you get to the Myrtle Beach Classic, weather looks to be good to great.
Very impressive report on the Barefoot Dye, Denis. The weather seems to be on your side since your arrival. Keep posting your reports, it is always a pleasure to read you on these golf courses we all enjoy to play when we are in Myrtle Beach.
