My vote was Farmstead although it's a difficult choice over Heather Glen. For the past couple of years, I have really enjoyed the Farmstead experience. Conditions had been really nice, very playable, thoughtful care by the staff, a wonderful experience. For many years, Heather Glen was our go to course as they offered such good deals during the winter through the Glens Group. With very little housing and essentially no adjacent road noise, Heather Glen was special. It's sad to see both of these get closed and it's especially sad to see the resulting landscape of Heather Glen with no trees and all the housing.
However, I miss Ocean Harbour and Marsh Harbor the most... no question. These two courses were stunning; great designs, wonderful mix of maritime forest and marsh holes. Ocean Harbour will never make it back as it has been gobbled up by high end housing. Marsh Harbor remains open land, a golf course grown over. With the resurgence of golf, maybe it's time for a venturous group to restore Marsh Harbor to the Grand Strand.

Played all but Indian Wells. Farmstead is probably my favorite of the bunch, but the one I miss most is Possum Trot. The Trot was a good warm-up course for us on arrival day or because of its location, a good departure day course.
Also have fond memories of one of those skunk-like squirrels at Possum Trot grabbing my cell phone from the cart and trying to make a get-away. It was my best 5 wood of the day as I caught a piece of his tail and he dropped the phone.
I loved Heather Glen.
Every hole seemed to have no other hole in site.
You could always hear the sound of golf and golfers around you, but rarely saw anybody else. I know the greens were older ,but I remember them rolling ok.
It was a great golf setting out there, with a very relaxed atmosphere.
The Witch is a close #2 for me.
Same reasons.. isolated from the real world.
Glad I finally played Possom Trot (with forum member UGP and Polekat) the week before it closed .
I wish I would have played it more.

So it appears that Heather Glen is the golf course that many of us will miss. It was also my choice. There was many good holes on this golf course. The only thing i will not miss is the clubhouse. However, the experience of golf has been great each time i played Heather Glen.

The porch however was big and had nice chairs overlooking the beautiful last hole of one of the three 9's.
Often there would be groups of ppl cheering or booing approach shots.

Heather Glen. I didn't mind the greens and was fortunate to have played them when they were in good conditions.
My order would be Heather Glen, The Witch, Farmstead, Possum Trot, and Indian Wells. Never played Wild Wing-Falcon.
As others have said, Marsh Harbour is missed and would be a most-welcome return. Ocean Harbour was awesome as well.
Can I reach into the past and say that I'll never understand closing Marsh Harbor. It was among the best, hands down!

The owner of Marsh Harbour + Ocean Harbour inherited them from her
father. She did not seem to want to run golf courses or have others
do it.
The Young family, who developed Legends, OB + MH leased the MH
property. When their lease was up, the MH owner wanted a crazy
amount to renew and would not renew month to month until she was
ready to take over the course, so she closed it.

Marsh Harbor was the best layout in the area. I watched my competitor throw all his clubs into the marsh on 17 - one at a time followed by his bag. I won a lot of money from him that day. It was our last day in MB. Three months later he was in jail. At 5 ft 2" and a very big mouth (and a great golfer) I figure he had some serious issues there. Never saw him after - I left Cincinnati before he got out.

I am now debating with myself on whether to ever golf with you again.
I'm also wondering why I never played Marsh Harbor.

Marsh Harbour closed in 2002. Were you visiting MB before then?

yes Art I started going to MB around 1990 but not every year. A friend at work then told me it was his favorite course.
