I am looking to add another course to our spring golf trip. We are staying at Barefoot landing and we are going to be playing there Fri, sat and Sun at BF. We are looking for 36 holes on Thurs. This will be the end of April, during peak season. Most courses are usually pretty full this time of year. I want something mid to high end within 30 min. I was looking at Arrowhead CC or world tour. I am open to others, I would prefer to book both rounds now and not depend on getting a replay in. Does anyone know of anywhere that lets you prebook replays at a preferred rate?

If you're willing to go north, Thistle is about 30 minutes from Barefoot and I think it's a much better course than World Tour. The Pearl has been in great shape the past couple of years too and has some nice holes on the river/marsh.

Plus there's Tidewater, which is better than all of them, but it's probably already fully booked.

You should check Grand Dunes and Pine Lakes, both closer than World Tour. Also, It's a common mistake, but Barefoot Landing is a shopping and dining area on the east side of the waterway, Barefoot Resort is a residential and golf community on the west side.

I'd be wary of Grande Dunes -- played there in May and it took almost 6 hours. They didn't seem to have any interest in trying to speed up play.

Replays at the replay rate are always based on space available.
To book the replay in advance it will be at the full PM rate.

If paying the regular rate for a prebooked replay, consider booking
2 separate courses near each other.   World Tour/Arrowhead
Thistle/Pearl     KN/MBN West

If booking 36, I like to allow 6 hours from the AM tee time, IE
7:30 + 1:30.

Thanks for the responses. We are staying at Barefoot golf resort, probably the yacht club if we can find a big Villa. POP is very important to us, you never really know what it is going to be but we try to avoid the courses like legends that have an issue more often. How is Myrtlewood? or would we be better off doing a World tour/ Arrowhead combo.

WT/AH is a more premium pair.

Myrtlewood is more like mid level.
If you like a good/fast pace in the AM and want to start early, you can play fast if you get the
first tee time at MW PALMETTO, since it Single Tees.   Then play Pine Hills in the PM.

Note at BF, Fazio + Norman single tee, if you want to play early and fast or just have a better
odds of decent pace with a later TT.   Dye often single tees, but doesn't have to.

We are going to play Norman/Fazio on Fri. 18 on Dye on sat since it is usually a slower round sat, and then love/replay since sun afternoon it clears out.

I think Pine Hills at Myrtlewood is a much better golf course than World Tour.

I'm probably lower on World Tour than most, though. I don't think replica courses work well in general because there's no real flow between the holes, and most of the replicas at World Tour don't really look or play anything like the real holes either.

A great thing about World Tour is it always seems to be in great shape.... and you can say the same for  Arrowhead.

That would be a great 36 combo in my opinion .
