What is the shortest usable 3 wood shaft length and is accuracy more important than distance?

Picking length and loft for accuracy or distance is up to us golfers.
If accuracy is more important or you are a low ball hitter, then you
could use a 4 or 5-wood or a strong hybrid.

Many OEM 3-woods come with long shafts.  The old 3 wood standard
was 42-42.5", but now it varies.   If you want to cut your 3-wood
shorter, it would be nice if the head has a weight port, where you
can add a heavier weight, to keep the swingweight the same.
You can also add lead tape to the head, until it feels good again.

Before cutting, test by choking up a 1/2".

Hitting a golf ball long and out of bounds is not good for scoring -

I have a friend that was a highr handicapper .slower swing speed...and used to spray the ball a lot ......he grabbed a ladies 3 wood out of his garage and started using it on his his second shots and some par threes ..and his game actually got better as he controlled the ball better... and I'm pretty sure it was because it was a shorter shafted 3-wood .
