Been awhile since I played DB, a little disappointed that the greens were not as good this time - slow and a little bumpy. Fairways are good, and the course was "full" all day. (Can only put as many people out as carts so full equals about half) Very demanding layout off the tee with good par 5's.
Talked to the pro - DB is doing fine during this BS crisis because they have never depended on package play - they get mostly local. Nice people running it that have made it a decent conditioned course - the greens will be fine soon. I wouldn't hesitate to play there

A hidden -mid tier- gem in my opinion.
Great pics to capture the nice golf setting there.

I like the red + blue yard posts. I only remember the white or nothing
when we played it together this time a year ago.
Thanks!

Glad to hear they have worked to improve the course. Played there three years ago - liked the layout but conditions were not good.
Thanks for the update on a course i dont have on my radar.
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
Put it on the radar for when you are looking for a value course. I don't think you will be dissapointed

i too never had diamondback on my list of "should plays" but it seems a lot of locals have been speaking well of it lately.
Really enjoyed the course last year.

Over the last few years, DB has gotten a lot better, with a new manager and
new greens in 2018, same Sunday bermuda grass used at Arcadian Shores,
Rivers Edge, Myrtlewood and others in recent years.

It's a tough course off the tee, not too tough around the greens. Can score well if you keep the ball in play - but you can shoot a million if you don't. DB has some very good holes but most people don't think of DB due to it's location.

A little bit of a hike inland which has kept us away in the past.
DB is only about 10 minutes west of Long Bay on Rt 9.
If traveling from MB, if you take 31 North to 9 west....the travel time is probably the same -or 5 minutes more- than if you were going to play The Cats courses.

The last time we played there was several years ago and it was pretty bad. Glad to hear that conditions have gotten better overall despite the greens not being too great.
Thanks @UGP!
Haven't played DB yet, but hope one day to scratch it from my bucket list!
