Any opinions on this course?
Any other course in MB that it is comparable to?
We've never played it but it's currently on the radar.
Thanks all!
Photos on it's website might describe it best.
Kinda like a Farmstead or Crow Creek with waste areas.
Conditions are usually good, elevated greens, fairly forgiving,
can be less busy due to location, so could be good for replays.
The location is not far, about 15 minutes from Arcadian Shores
on highways.

I like this golf course. The clubhouse is special (traditional English style). I would add that the bunkers are deep, not go there. Almost all the greens are elevated, so this change your approach shot.

Played it last Friday. Great shape, I recommend.

I agree about it being a very playable course and usually in good condition. With all those raised greens it can be pretty tough to get up & down.
It is a very nice course, it is fun to play but a little ride from South Strand where i stay but worth it to me.
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
A good course that many players don't like to play because the greens are raised (which I like) Not the best course in MB, but very playable and enjoyable. Put it on your list.
The number of raised greens becomes monotonous and I disagree that it is very playable and enjoyable. As a one-off, definitely play it. There are some cool approaches.
A lot of positive things to say about Shaftesbury Glen, great greens, great conditions, good location to get to, decent range, down side, do not play after a heavy rain, the course to me does not drain well at all.

good call lefty. i don't think it's a great course but i couldn't imagine having fun there in soggy conditions.
Great fairways/rough at the Shaft.
"King Of The Mid-tiers"
When Shaft Glen added a lot of waste areas a few years ago, they
claimed that it would improve the draining.

@artmbgolf lol, it hasn’t helped. I play there in the winter and it is still always soggy.
We were playing there one day when it was CPO. Walking across the 10th fairway and my golf shoes literally got sucked off my feet because the ground was so wet.
