Planning my first Myrtle Beach trip with three buddies next month. We are all flying in from different cities and just realized baggage fees are going to hit each of us separately.
Someone mentioned shipping clubs directly to the resort instead of checking them at the airport. Never done it before so not sure how it works or if resorts here actually accept them properly.
Has anyone done this for a Myrtle Beach trip? Was it worth it or just extra hassle?
@jakefairway did some research before our trip, looks like there are a few services that do this. Ship sticks and ShipMyClubs both seem popular for Myrtle Beach trips, clubs go straight to the pro shop which sounds way better than dealing with the airline
thanks for looking into this, pro shop delivery sounds ideal. going to check both out before we book.
I have not been flying to MB in years, so I don't have much of an opinion
which is best.
People do use ShipSticks. I think it depends on which you trust more,
Shipsticks or the plane. Cost is probably similar.
If only casual golfers, not particular about clubs, another option is to rent clubs.
The better courses have rentals and usually better clubs than the average course.

A friend and just got back from MB. He shipped his clubs from Kansas City it was 200.00 each way from ship sticks>

@6542golf good to know on the cost, that is pretty much the same as what the airline would charge with overweight fees so shipping makes a lot of sense then
