Supergilbys Golfapalooza 2026: World Tour

Greetings!

Weather conditions: Sunny and windy for the front nine, then cloudy… and still windy, 79 degrees Farenheit.

We paid a visit today to World Tour Golf Links ( https://www.theworldtourgolf.com/ ), a course which always arouses a lot of curiosity among golfers who have never had the opportunity to visit Myrtle Beach, which is a little less the case for regulars of the area.

There is a kind of "aura" in connection with this course, because the 18 holes offered there (there were 27 before but the "International 9” was closed a few years ago) do present replicas of several prestigious courses like Augusta, Pinehurst # 2, Pine Valley, Bay Hill, Oakmont, TPC Sawgrass and St. Andrews, to name a few.

In this context, anyone who wants to give World Tour Golf Links a try can expect playing conditions that are above average and the way the welcoming staff takes care of golfers. Everything out there is designed to make your golf experience a memorable one. And as we are concerned, we have not been disappointed, once again, despite the fact that our round today was played under "cart paths only" rules, much to our surprise when the starter gave us his instructions (it is true, however, that some of the fairways were somewhat wet in a few places). In any case, it didn't really affect our playing time, since our round took 4 hours and 5 minutes.

The playing conditions on this course (which stretches 6,214 yards from the gold tees and 4,932 yards for ladies) were near-perfect from start to finish. The fairways were like a carpet, the greens relatively fast and holding their lines remarkably well. Just one very minor drawback: the ladies' tee boxes aren't really tee boxes at all, as they tee off from the fairways, with the exception of the par-3s.

That said, unless you're a bit of a snob, you'll certainly appreciate the challenge of replicating hole #17 at TPC Sawgrass (hole #4 of the "Open Nine"). The same goes for "Amen Corner," represented by holes #4, #5, and #6 (respectively #11, #12, and #13 at Augusta), and #9 of the "Championship Nine," represented by hole #11 at Bay Hill... A very nice challenge to finish a round of golf.

In short, if you feel like to live (or relive) the World Tour Golf Links experience, do never hesitate!
