Played here today. Course is in very nice shape. Greens in great shape although they were a little slow.  Really like the layout would play it anytime.

Metric - I consider River Hills a great routing usually in very good condition. Greens while never lightning are typically a good speed. If more people new how good RH is, it would be hard to get on. Tier 2 in my book - at tier 3 or 4 prices.

Probably the greatest "bang for the buck" course on the Grand Strand!

I will always like to play RH. I made a hole-in-one there so long ago that i do not remember on which par 3.

Thanks for the update on RH - Never played there but it is on the April list of courses.

How would you compare RH to say Glen Dornoch or Shaftesberry? Same tier level, comparable conditions & layout?

To me not close. Rh is tier 2 and a great layout. Gd is tier 3 a good layout not in as good condition as rh. Shaftesbury is playable tier 4

RH has a great layout. I prefer Glen Dornoch to Shaftesbury. I like the finishing holes there. A good challenge.
