Several comments

1) I can't believe how good the conditions at all the Legends are, how they keep them up with the tremendous amount of play they get.

2) Best deal in MB - breakfast is acceptable (especially at the price - free) and they have great Chicken Strips after golf, also free, and a nice menu.

3) Played the ball down, no issues. Roughs very manageable. Greens about 9 and pretty smooth. Bunkers need a little work, was only in one, but it was a brick, playing partners said the same in the ones they were in.

4) They do a good job at the bag drop and in the shop moving that many people to the tee.

5) The negative - we teed off at 7.15 and finished at 12.30 5 hours and 15 minutes to play. It's almost always slow at Legends.

6) I kinda like this Dye course - it's very interesting. It's tough, especially the greens complexes, but not as unfair as other Dye courses. And like Prestwick, I like the looks of the holes and routing. A couple of funky things, but overall I can play here.

7) If you play at the Legends as many of our MBGTers do, expect a longer round.

Side note - if it doesn't rain tomorrow morning I'm at Barfoot Dye with our own Senior Club Champ 1putt1 - from black tees. I need a lot of protein in the morning and swing lube during the round. OY!

Thanks UGP. It was a long one! Bring your A game to play tomorrow. Let us know who is the winner after your round. It will be a good one. 1putt1 is on fire!

Good report. Pace of play has kept us away from Legends for years.

Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.

So many places to play that 5 plus rounds are to be avoided . I like afternoon in the summer as we can play fast most anywhere. The shame is that the legends has three good courses just slow play

Legends Resort must be blocking off an afternoon here and there to do maint and
possibly cutting grass in the evening or in the dark.

The Legends deal attracts big groups and big groups often have some occasional
golfers, plus a competition.  That leads to slow play.   We do get some reports about
the pace being OK, so on any given day, it might be Slow or OK, but higher odds of slow
pace at Legends.

BF Dye from the whites must have been too easy for you guys in the Spring.

Thanks!

Thanks UCP on the report I guess I have been luck we have not had issues with slow play most of our rounds have been about 41/2 hours. The price you pay at the legends can't be beat. It is something around the bag drop how well they have it down.

I’m a member at legends. Always slow in the morning. Tee off after 130 and you’re finished in 3 hours. Courses are in great shape. Heathland has the best greens right now

When Legends's isn't busy in the PM, is that mainly in the Summer + Winter?

I would think that during Spring and Fall peak seasons, a combination of some
PM rounds and drinking/fun replays would often make PM rounds slow.

Have you played the improving Oyster Bay recently?

The only months where we know we’re looking at a 4-5 hour round is March, April, and some of May. October is hit or miss. Still I don’t think we have played a 5 hour round all year and we play 2-4 times a week. Never really have any issue with the replay guys, but you can usually hear them around the course????????.

Legends staff looks out for us. They’re the best from the pro shop, bag drop, and bar area.

We’ve played Oyster Bay twice this summer. It’s getting in better shape

Thanks for this quick update on the courses at Legends. It is my intention to play there next winter.

Good take on Moorlands, tough luck on the POP, even worse at times in the winter.  Side note, all 3 Legends courses were some of the best conditioned we played from Nov. to April.
