Played Litchfield Country Club yesterday with 32 players......STAY AWAY! The greens are in terrible shape (bare dirt, bumpy in many spots on most greens) and the course desperately needs some TLC. It was our first time playing it and will be our last. Very disappointing way to start a four day trip. On to River Club today hoping for better conditions.

Sorry to hear that with such a large group. Well would be bad if it was a small group. Hope the rest of your trip brings great conditions. Sad for them, played there a couple years ago and was in great shape.

@golfdawgz : I'm sad for you and your buddies for having such a disappointing golf experience at Litchfield!
Played there only once about five years ago and had nothing to complain about that course.

Litchfield still has the old bermuda greens, unless they silently
upgraded sometime.
They usually get good enough reports, but even when we had more
reports, Litchfield wasn't too popular.
River Club is a good bet to have much nicer greens.
Thanks!

Hopefully the River Club will get you back onto a good course with a solid report, tough to read poor conditions at Litchfield.
The rest of the trip went very well! We played River Club on Friday and it's good shape - the greens were quick & rolled true. True Blue on Saturday was perfect!! Sunday was TPC Myrtle Beach - always a standout course!

Bad time of the year for courses as they transition off rye, they are never sure what's under there - especially the greens
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
