Would love input on the best draining courses and any that might just maybe not be cart path only after the rain today and tonight.

My way out of shape self can’t handle CPO.

Caledonia drains incredibly well. A few years ago it absolutely poured on the drive down there, and one of the greens right on the entrance road was completely underwater. We didn't think we'd be able to play, but they sent us out and when we reached that green it was completely dry as though it hadn't even rained. The fairways weren't even wet despite the torrential downpour.

With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if everywhere down there was CPO regardless, especially during the winter.

Possibly Grande Dunes, Pine Lakes, Arcadian Shores.

Another vote for Caledonia!

Did experience a similar situation as @uncgolf a few years ago!

We began our round and after the sixth hole, we had to stop because of a severe thunderstorm that lasted for about 25-30 minutes.

Surprisingly, when we did resume our round, tee offs, fairways and greens were quite fine and we had no trouble finishing our round without being CPO.

Per locals we know, South Carolina has better draining courses than north due to a sandier base, don't know what level of course your interested in but for a mid tier course Beachwood is one of the more popular for play after hard rains, Happy New Year and good golfing.

What Art said. Pine Lakes and Grande Dunes are the premier courses to play after a lot of rain.

Dunes Club also great as they have a poor man's sub-aire system throughout the course.

Surf Club, BF Fazio and Arcadian Shores are also good.

Worst courses to play after a lot of rain ... Wachesaw East, Shaftesbury, Wild Wing, Thistle, Sea Trail, Aberdeen.

You did remember properly my friend.

That day, Prestwick did remain in great shape despite the rain we had to cope with, mostly on the back nine.

Whatsoever, it was a wonderful day of golf with one of the best golf partner you can have!

Played Litchfield today. CPA only 1 hole other than the par 3’s. Fairways were a bit soft so we moved up to the gold tees. Greens were good but slow.

The Dunes, Arrowhead and Tradition Club are the best ...

Prestwick is currently only 9 holes while they replace the famous Pete Dye Railroad Tie Bulk heads. They will reopen for 18 holes in the next week or so but will have 2 temporary greens as they are replacing the bulk head to keep the green from falling into the creek/lake. They plan to be open and back to normal by early/mid Feb ...
