Hi boys. Check out my line up and tell me what you think.
Willbrook, Surf, Dunes, Wachesaw Plantation Private, Reserve, True Blue, Kings North, Mooreland, Heathland. I have a couple of open spots. I'm thinking of adding two more: Arcadian Shores, Palmetto, Pinehills or Crow Creek. I'll give you a detailed trip report when I return. Thank you.
Sounds great. I’d try to make sure Crow Creek makes the list. It had taken a downward turn in recent reports but a friend played it with his son a few weeks ago and raved about it and said conditions were good.
Enjoy!!
Are you or others in your group private course members, getting you on
Surf, Wach Private and Reserve? Packagers can book The Dunes.
AS, MW, CC are good mid-tier, to control the cost.
If you must keep it a superstar lineup, you still have TW, TPC, Thistle, BF. 🙂

I booked surf thru Brian but WP and Res. thru friends that own a restaurant down there.
I didn't like barefoot too much except the Dye. I've played TPC and Thistle and liked them a lot.
I am def. playing CC but unsure of one more (PH, Palm., AS)
I would like to play AS since I heard great things about their renovation.
I would pick Arrowhead as it was in very good shape 2 weeks ago. Best bang for the buck.

I love the lineup, cause it is golf and i am already wanting to get away!
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
I have not played The Surf in a long time, but I loved it when it was available for public/package play. Crow Creek is also one of my favorites.
Our group had a bad experience at AS last October. One guy working in the pro shop and no one in the snack bar area. Course was not in really good shape either.
Played Crow Creek this past May and really, really like.
Conditions were fabulous at that time and I do strongly recommend!

@tadpole All was correct during the spring Tad. I played two times AS. The driving range was open and very busy.

Arcadian was the "dud" of the week for us last spring. Kind of an unremarkable layout & I can't remember a single hole from that round.
All the staff seemed unhappy to be there, especially the Pro Shop.
Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.

If adding any extra courses before the premium trip,
Crow Creek is forgiving.
Pine Hills, Palmetto, Arcadian are fairly equal and all improved in
recent years.
Palmetto single tees, good for pace if you are playing early.

Your line up is a solid one, you should enjoy your MB golf experience, of the 4 you listed as extra games, all 4 will give you something different, IMO both Crow Creek and Arcadan Shores would be my picks, not sure how the greens will be during the summer heat though.
Of the four courses you mentioned, I think Pine Hills is easily the best. It has some interesting holes. Palmetto, Arcadian Shores, and Crow Creek are all bland golf courses without much to offer to me. If you've never played Tidewater, you should definitely go there -- it's one of the best courses in Myrtle Beach and several levels above a course like Crow Creek. It was in phenomenal shape in July; I actually played there twice because it was so good.
Wachesaw Plantation is an excellent course, and it's beautiful in there around the clubhouse. The Reserve was immaculate in early July, and there's no reason that should change before August. They do all of their heavy maintenance in early June.
Arrowhead is in great condition as of 10 days ago. Pinehills was good yesterday
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
