The first official round of the forum outing was played at Pearl West this year and the day was perfect. Sunshine was the order of the day and the course was in really good shape. I didn't play well, however the day was still great. I had a few good holes, and if it wasn't for my putting, my 88 would have been much higher. The weather was really good. Starting out in brilliant sunshine, it later clouded up a bit, and sprinkled on us for a few holes near the end of the round. Nothing unpleasant and the warm day certainly made up for it. We left Ottawa around 4am, driving the 81 down to the 66, the 17 to the 95 and then into Myrtle arriving just after 11pm. We stopped for lunch at Wendy's somewhere in southern Pennsylvania and for dinner late in Lumberton, taking advantage of the $9.99 prime rib at the Texas Roadhouse.
