I played Tiger's Eye yesterday for the first time. It was a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine. I have a lot of pleasure with my friends, some are members of this forum. Thanks to them.
It is a very good golf course design. However, there are only two par 3, one in the front nine holes and another one on the last nine holes. A bit of a surprise. The course offers a good challenge because of the many sand traps in the fairways and around the greens. The conditions were excellent. The staff was attentive to our needs at the bag drop and in the clubhouse. In short, a very pleasant day for to play golf.

Thanks for the report. I may have to try one of the Cat courses when I'm down in a couple of weeks.
It was good to play Tigers Eye yesterday, best thing was the greens, finally they have sped up which made them great to putt on. FYI there are 2 Par 3's on each nine, holes 2,6,11,17, we just played them poorly after making Par on hole 2, see you next week, weather permitting.
- @leftygar1 Sorry concerning the par 3s. Just checked too rapidly my scorecard Leftygar! Next time, i will try to play them better.

@s333h
TE is a good design for all Hdc levels. It will become popular if conditions
keep improving.
Are the greens overseeded?
Gary corrected you, that TE does have 4 par 3's.
Thanks!

TE was designed by Tim Cates, a great golf architect. It is a thinking person 's course requiring precision shot making and a very good short game. The greens are ondulated and had a good speed yesterday. It is important to choose the right tees to score well. We played a mix of yellow and white tees (between 5700-5900 yds). More important, we had a lot of pleasure.

@artmbgolf Art, greens were over seeded last year and remained on the slow side until 2 weeks ago, they are cut down now and running quick. They are also adding sand to the traps ( TE, PR, and LP ), slowly to keep them from being to soft, they are much nicer now and easier to hit out of.
Played Tiger this past week Happy to say that it is well on the way back Staff was great, course conditions were good to very good. I am a big Tim Cate fan so I was quite pleased to be able to put Tiger back into my play list. Also played Panther's Run and though it was not as good as Tiger, it was certainly fine. There were some scabby areas on the greens but they still putted well. Some of the bridges needed attention but the course was overall good.. I'll give Tiger a 90 and Panther an 82. I recommend them both especially now because the pricing was also very reasonable.
Thanks for the update!
