Well the final of 4 straight rounds on this short trip.

Wife and I headed for the Arnold Palmer course at Rivers Edge.

I absolutely LOVED this layout. Risk reward everywhere and beautiful views.

Fairways were as perfect as I imagine any can be this time of year. Were squishy in spots but the course was 90 degrees for carts.

Bunkers were well maintained and had perfect levels of sand for my taste.

Greens looked amazing but were SLOOOW especially against the grain. Probably due to the rain they didn’t get to cut them?

Staff was friendly. Clubhouse is huge and has anything a golfer could want.

This trip allowed for 4 new to me courses and my MB total is now over 40.

I am so thankful for the folks at this forum and hope my course reviews the last 4 days have been helpful.

Happy New Year to all!

Thanks for taking the time to make your reports.  Played RE in October and it was great.

This one is always on the list.  The repeated forced carries are a challenge for sure but if you play the correct set of tees, the challenge is eased somewhat but the thrill is always there.  Scenic views of the Shallotte River, nice maritime forest environment, and generally dependable conditions.  It's a treat.

4/6/22;  Day5

Tee times: 8:56am and 2:06pm

Tees: tips and white

$44 (Brunswick County players card), $35 replay

Weather: spectacular

POP: 4 hours 15 minutes and 3 hours 30 minutes

Fairways and greens in solid condition. Greens definitely on the slow side but rolled true.  Varying bunker conditions.  Some traps had nice full sand - others thinner hard pack.  The tips were not in very good condition but all other sets of tees were (with the exception of a par 3 that had mats).  The par 3 eighth hole was my favorite. Great view.

Club had a pot roast dinner that couldn't be beat. Sat on the porch and admired the view while we ate.  Another thoroughly enjoyable course.
