Hi all,

I have been in touch with Brian and he has once again come up with a great package for
our trip next spring. A bit earlier than our usual because of Easter, we will be arriving
March 24th, with scheduled golf March 26th to March 31st. We have 15 rainchecks from
6 different courses from last years trip and hope to put them to use on Saturday March 25th.

Our courses for next year. Repeating River's Edge, Sandpiper Bay, Thistle and Glen Dornoch.
I'll be re-using information from last year for those.

New this year are Long Bay and Meadowlands. Looking for information for Close to Pin (par 3)
Close to Pin in 2 shots (short par 4) and Long Drive holes. Looking forward to information on
Meadowlands as I haven't been able locate any hole illustrations or course maps for that course. Thanks in advance.

Bryan

@ziggygolfer Thanks for the input. Looking forward to playing this one. We managed to play Farmstead in 2014. The guys still talk about that 18th, teeing up in South Carolina and putting out in North Carolina. I read somewhere on this forum that many of the grounds crew found work at Meadowlands and conditions have improved (they were good before, even better now) ????

@artmbgolf Once again Art, thanks for the information.

One of our players ACED #5 in 2013. Only Ace on our Myrtle Beach Trips. He has since passed away. We have a "CLOSE TO PIN" with daily cash prize and take measurements. End of the week we have a "CLOSE TO PIN" for the week prize & trophy in his memory. We'll have to use #5 for Long Bay in his honor.
At the time, I spoke with the pro shop and left them the players mailing address and asked if they could send him a pin flag when the time came to replace them. That was in March of 2013. In October 2013 he received a pin flag, a ball marker and ball mark repair tool from the course in the mail. He had it mounted in a frame and displayed it proudly in his office. The beauty of it was, he was one of the highest handicappers in the group, but a love for the game and a heart of gold. We miss him, but we remember...

The conditions at Meadowlands were phenomenal when I played there in the summer. I also thought it was a better golf course than Farmstead in general -- I thought Farmstead was a bland place to play and really only worth visiting because the conditions were so good.

LB #5 is good for CTP.   You have a good reason.     If nobody hits the green, do you do closest in 2?

@artmbgolf Actually, the Close to Pin the year he got the ACE was #13. Maybe I should use #13 and have a separate "special" Close to Pin memorial for #5. I will run that by a couple of the guys and see what they think.

Thanks Art.
