So I have just one last decision to make. Friday April 12 afternoon round. Looking for something in the 80-120$ range. Kings north? World tour? Prestwick? TPC? Grand dunes? Man o war? Wizard? All first timers to Myrtle and this will be our final round... what y’all think ?
Our group have been going to Myrtle Beach for 9 years now. We haven't played Grande Dunes, Mon-o-War or Wizard. Of the other 4 we didn't play Prestwick until last year after having done multiple rounds on the other 3.
When we did play, the most heard comment was "Why did we wait so long to play this GEM!" Personally, I would rank them Prestwick, King's North, TPC and World Tour. Just my nickel's worth (we don't have pennies in Canada anymore, and with exchange it would be 3 cents anyway!)
Kings North for sure - Prestwick is good too and won't disapoint

I'd eliminate World Tour, Man O War & Wizzard. Those courses are good but not in the same class as Kings North, Prestwick, Grande Dunes & TPC. Of the remaining four it's pretty much a toss-up depending on which style you prefer. If you like a penal course then TPC & Prestwick would fit the bill. If you want an upscale experience with a great practice facility then Grande Dunes is the choice. If you want to play a fun but challenging course with no homes along the fairways then Kings North fits the bill.

I would eliminate World Tour, Man O War, Wizard. Not that they are bad courses(although I played World Tour last year and they had lost their greens), they are a step or two below the others. Those are automatic elimination. That would leave the others and then I personally would narrow that down to Kings North, Prestwick, or TPC.
That's a tough one. Can't go wrong with any of the 3. I would be happy with any of those 3. TPC is a big ball park, Prestwick is fun Dye course but can beat you up if not on your game and is a great country club type setting. Kings North is a great Palmer design and just a fantastic layout.
I prefer Kings North also. The rate is better after 1pm.

Some very well thought out suggestions above.
If you have any higher handicap golfers, I say skip TPC and Prestwick.
Which leaves Grande Dunes or Kings North.

Boy 1Putt you hit the nail on the head! Completely agree with your assessment. I would probably choose Grande Dunes for the reasons you listed and the fact their customer service is top-notch.
Grande Dunes and Prestwick would be my final 2 with Grande Dunes winning if high handicap Players and Prestwick if better golfers, but Kings North would be close.

Agree 100 % with UGP and 1putt1 assessments!
You'll enjoy for sure!

Thank you all for your info and opinions. It has been quite helpful. I’m gonna stick with my original plan for kings north. But with two and a half months to go who knows, I will probably change my mind a few times. Anyways thanks again!!!!
Would go with TPC or Grande Dunes, both very nice courses to finish your week on.
My choice is Prestwick. You would want a challenge for the finale.
Nothin Could be Finer !!!!!!
