I have never played Crown Park. I looked at the tee sheet today and it is WIDE open. Is there something I should know about current conditions there?
Commuter between North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
I don't know about the conditions there, and I've never even played the course -- but one of the reasons I've never played it is probably applicable to why it's so wide open.
It's pretty far inland. No matter where you are in the area, you're going to be driving past a bunch of other courses to get to it, and it's not near any dining or anything else.
Crown Park is popular mainly during the fall and winter months because of his rates. Never been there during the summer months, so it is hard for me to answer you.
''It's just golf, let's have fun''
Crown Park has been good for it's low rate, but I can't say what
current conditions are.
It's mostly a locals course and when there isn't a peak package season,
they can play better courses for same rates, so it's not a priority for them.
It's also aeration season, so they may know if it's that.
With the rain, it might be CPO, which keeps golfers away.

@dsuitch : like our beloved friend @UGP would probably say, Crown Park is a nice fourth tier course!
If you have never played there yet and you would like to scratch it from your wish list, it worths giving it a try... while having modest expectations!
