I played The Links at Brick Landing (aka "The Brick) back in March. Course was in decent shape for the time of year, although the greens were a bit slow. This is a good course for improving one's iron play: lots of shorter Par 4's that demand long iron off the tee and mid or short iron to the green, plenty of doglegs, etc. The layout has somewhat of a "homemade" feel (no Coore/Crenshaw masterpiece here), but it can be a fun change of pace. The views along the first hole and finishing hole, which run along the Intracoastal, are memorable. I do hope this humble course survives as well.

Nice update NJE.  Glad to read a reasonable report on "The Brick."

I drove by Brick Landing multiple times last week and the course looked in good shape from the road, although that's not saying much (it's easy for greens to look fine from the road).

I'm not a fan of the layout, though. It has some very strange holes and there's very little room for error anywhere; I don't have any plans to play there despite it being only 5 minutes from my beach house.

I'm still glad it's reopened, though. The area needs more courses, not less, and they keep closing.
