Played Diamondback yesterday, weather was great, course needs some TLC, greens were very puttable, probably 75% of bunkers green side were unplayable, all washed out & no sand. Chipping areas around greens are very thin. We played preferred lies most everywhere to get some grass under your ball. Layout is tight in places, not the best place for a warmup round, but we made do.
Played Pearl this morning, North- West 9's, course is in very good condition, greens were really nice, no issues. Good sand in bunkers, much better than previous round at Diamondback. More wind in play today, made some dicey club selections. Pace was excellent, 3.45 to get around, teeing off at 9:20
No issues recommending course right now. Rivers Edge tomorrow, Blackmoor on Wed.
Thanks for update on Pearl we play there on Sunday then Rivers Edge on Monday. Looking forward to your reviews

Thanks for reporting. I've only played Diamondback once and they conditions then were not very good. Nice enough layout but needs some TLC.
Rivers Edge is always a treat.
Thanks for your report, we found conditions at Pearl to be very nice although a wind can sure make the holes tough. Thanks for your report.
Thanks for the updates!
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
Tuesday, Rivers Edge was again a pleasure to play, conditions good all around. Greens rolled well, but at medium speed. I always enjoy my day playing there. Don't hesitate to play here.
There were a lot of baby gators sunning on top of the lily pads in the lake behind 11th green, didn't spot mom though.
I always say to new people coming to MB, RE is the course to play for the true area golf experience.
Wednesday was at Blackmoor, great conditions here for most part, greens on front 9 roll great & good speed, however there were a couple of greens on back 9 that had some issues, a few bad spots that didn't play the same as other greens, but didn't take away any playability. On hole 14, there was work being done , looked like fairway drainage, so the hole played as a 100 yd par 3 instead of a 4. Bunkers were all good.
Play here & enjoy the round, I did.
My group plays Rivers Edge in Early May each trip.
One guy has a lot there and used to get good property owner rates.
Now it's only about $20 off package rates.
It's a PM round and the greens are never faster than medium, often
slower when it's PM and if there is overseed on the greens.
There are lesser courses that maintain nicer greens.
They upgraded the greens a few years ago.
I have seen the big gator on RE #11, often across the lake near the
homes, but I have seen her right behind #11 green.
Thanks for all your reports!

Thursday, played Panthers Run this morning, as in past reviews, greens are horrible, mostly painted dormant whatever grass & sand mix on there. We should have played automatic 2 putt max.
Fairways are playable, bunkers also, some chipping areas thin but most are playable. I played with a large group of locals, glad our rate was $39, anything more would not be worth it. We are playing Leopards Chase on Saturday with the same group, hopefully greens there are somewhat better.
Sandpiper tomorrow morning.
Sandpiper was in really good shape in March. Hopefully it still is.
Friday, Sandpiper Bay, played the Sand - Piper 9's
Course was in top shape, greens very nice, ran a med-fast speed, hadn't played here in years & really enjoyed the round, good mid level course with no issues. All tees, bunkers, fairways were good. Anyone wanting to play there, should be no worries to tee it up.
My group of 3 were paired with 1 of the inside staffers, Pat, he was a character, had us laughing most of the round, not a good golfer, he probably triple bogeyed every hole but was enjoying himself. He gave us his phone # and said to call him whenever we wanted to play the course again.
Saturday, last day & round: Leopards Chase
After a week of sun & warm temps, we woke up to a light rain, dark ominous clouds blowing in from the ocean, we headed to the course to see if the group we joined was going to play. On arrival a few of the guys were hanging around, most either showed up & then left, some called they were not playing....we talked to the organizer, told him we were going to pack up early & head home, instead of late that afternoon after golf. So we left course & headed back to lodging & packed up for home.....we made it up to Richmond on 295 when the rain started, it rained on us pretty heavy until Albany with a couple of short breaks.
We ate at Angelo's, Geno's Original Pizza, Fiesta Mexicana, Buffalo Wild Wings, rest of our meals were at the course or cooking at house
It would have been good to hear about LC, if it didn't rain.
Thanks for all of your reports!!
