For your first course, Crow Creek or Tigers Eye for a May trip? Other courses in line up are Grande Dunes, Dye, Caledonia and Thistle.
Quick question - when was the last bad report on Big Cats? We all know that Leopards Chases bent greens will struggle in late summer, but I haven't really heard the same level of complaints that we have had in the past. People were killing the course conditions, management and the Super the last 2-3 years. Things have changed a pretty good bit up there over the last 16-24 months and I believe it is showing. Sure we can find something to complain about at every course but they were egregious a year or two ago. Supposedly, the divorce has been finalized and ownership has been settled .. messy divorces are never fun. So hopefully they will get back to consistent course conditions.

Tigers Eye was a must play every year for us, until conditions got bad. Really miss playing there.
Based on likely conditions, Crow Creek .
Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.
I suggest Crow Creek. It is more forgiving off the tee than TE and
has better odds of good conditions.
In case you don't know, TE and other Big Cats have been getting bad
reports on conditions.
Crow Creek will provide you bent greens, which should be good in May.
They can be challenging to putt.

I would suggest CC. Just played TE at the end of September, conditions were okay not great. But you are going in the spring, so conditions could be totally different. I would rely on the advice from the @ArtMBGolf because he is all knowing regarding MB.
Nothin Could be Finer !!!!!!
Would also go with Crow Creek, conditions wise!

Another vote for Crow Creek. It is a straight-ahead golf course without many hidden hazards.
Thanks for the input. Group was leaning towards Crow Creek and the comments just solidified the pick.
Crow Creek, runaway. Sadly, the Tiger's Eye layout is very good, but the conditions are absolutely terrible.
Commuter between North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Another vote for Crow Creek here... conditions are always dependable at this course. Nice bentgrass greens that should be really nice in the spring.

If conditions were equal, Tiger's Eye is a much better golf course than Crow Creek -- they're not even comparable. Tiger's Eye is one of the better courses anywhere in the area and Crow Creek is just an average MB course that's rather bland.
However, since the conditions at Ocean Ridge have been bad for years, I think Crow Creek is the easy choice.
I'm a Tigers Eye Voter ... I enjoy the large and heavily undulating greens, more scenery, better par 3's and far superior layout/design. Let me see what the prices look like in April. Crow Creek is $5 more expensive than Tigers Eye.

Because of CV and MBGT members generally staying away from Big Cats, we don't
have enough reports on Big Cats and some other courses to have a good feel.
My feel is Big Cats is OK if playing on rainchecks or Passport/Trail cards, but could
be a gamble booking a 4 course Big Cats package for a group. The bent greens
at Leop Chase should be recovered by now, if they worked on them and good until June.
So a divorce was affecting Big Cats? Having those 4 courses in good condition
would be like adding 4 courses to MB package options. Maybe they would
also want to develop Jag Lair?
