The last day of the pre-pre-forum outing takes place in Myrtle Beach at the Dye Club at the Barefoot Resort. I've never played Arrowhead and I was looking forward to playing the course. There was also talk of playing a nin hole scramble afterwards which is always one of the highlights of my forum outings, and it would give me the chance to play all three nines of the course. With two birdies on the day on my way to an 85, I finally won a skin. In fact, all four of us won a skin. There was a bit of confusion over which tee box should be played, however because we had started form the blues, we stayed back there. The first official round of the forum outing was played at Pearl West this year and the day was perfect. Sunshine was the order of the day and the course was in really good shape. A few nasty pin positions (holes 11 and 12 come to mind) and we missed the gators on the front nine, however our foursome, my buddies Jeff and Marc along with Mike G and myself, all had a great afternoon [...]
I didn't play well, however the day was still great. I had a few good holes, and if it wasn't for my putting, my 88 would have been much higher. The weather was really good. Starting out in brilliant sunshine, it later clouded up a bit, and sprinkled on us for a few holes near the end of the round. Nothing unpleasant and the warm day certainly made up for it.
