April 22…..drove from Summerville sc to Litchfield. Had breakfast at Applewood Pancakes. I would rate as average. Nothing spectacular.
golf at tradition. Seemed like a lot of locals and leagues. Course in decent shape but I have seen it better. Tee boxes need work.
dinner at Pawleys Tab house. Great selection of beers which you can try. Food slightly above average
stayed at seaside inn in Litchfield 2br, 2ba. Units in good shape. I would stay here again. Breakfast is average. Nothing like the old Long Bay in NMB where I stayed years ago. Loved Martin's. I believe Martin has passed RIP
April 23 Golf at Wach East. Big surge of golfers when we pulled in. Course conditions about same as Tradition….average, not great. Tee boxes were not good. Course plays difficult.
Dinner at Franks. First time there. Enjoyed atmosphere. really nice inside. Deceiving from the road. Great server named Abby.
Day 3, River Club. Been here many times before. HATE starting at #10 here, and sure enough, we started at #10.
So many good holes on the back. Love Par 3 #14, good par 4 #15, and #18 is a great finish hole. Typical good conditions. Clubhouse being renovated. Restroom in temp trailer outside. Just love this course.
Dinner at Gio's. First time there. It was good, but not great.
Last day at Litchfield CC. First time there. Busy. Supposedly over 200 on tee sheet. Surprised by nice layout of course. Typical old CC. Tight with small greens. Conditions were above average. Enjoyed playing here.......despite too many dog legs
That is it. First trip in a few years and this time with 7 new guys.
