Hi everyone,
I'm planning a golf trip and was wondering how most people handle transportation when visiting multiple golf courses. Do you usually rent a car, use local taxis, or pre-book an airport transfer?
For those who have travelled with golf clubs and luggage, which option has been the most convenient and cost-effective? I imagine having enough space for equipment is just as important as getting to the course on time.
I've noticed that many travellers now prefer booking airport transfers in advance, especially when arriving after a long flight, as it avoids waiting around for transport and gives peace of mind.
I'd love to hear your recommendations and any tips for making golf travel easier. Thanks in advance!
Best to rent minivans for space. If you have groups of 4 or more, when you factor in clubs and suitcases, the minivans work best
My group and I either drive our own car (if reasonable distance to drive) or
rent a car/van at the airport.
You could design a MB trip where you book a central hotel and play central
courses with short drives and use Uber/Taxi.
You can ship clubs. I have not done that.

@artmbgolf Thanks for the suggestions! Renting a minivan definitely sounds like the best option for groups, especially when everyone has golf bags and luggage. I hadn't really considered shipping clubs either, but that could make travelling much easier. For those who've used airport transfer services, have you found them to be more cost-effective than renting a vehicle for a 4–5 day golf trip?
What is airport transfer services? Is that the same as Uber, Taxi, etc.
There are some van, bus companies in MB that drop off golfers at the course,
but I don't know if they are independent or Uber/Lyft based.
Are you visiting MB from another country or thinking about starting a ride
service in MB?
Other than Legends Resort in MB, hotels and courses are separated and require
transportation from airport to hotel to course to dinner to nightlife to hotel to golf, etc.

When we come for the World Am, we each rent a car. If we were always playing the same course, renting 1 car would make more sense but since we play different courses it does not. Coming for 9 days and playing each day...Uber or Lyft would eat up the cost of a rent car easily. As far as shipping clubs, I priced that just recently versus paying the baggage fee for the airlines. Baggage fees were cheaper. I did find a service that was reasonable for shipping clubs but it had an annual fee also which made it just as expensive as single use shipping.
