Last night the reports are saying 3 dead and more people are missing. Pictures I’ve seen so far lots of damage.
That is terrible.
Prayers for that community.

I just saw this story on the Washington Post website. Details and pictures: https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/02/16/brunswick-county-tornado-north-carolina/
Unbelievable. Prayers for those who are suffering. Weather this week has been historic and more is on the way. Hope all of our Myrtle Beach friends are okay. Let us know.
Wow. I wouldn't have expected this type of weather in February. We've often done our trips around this time with the fear of cold and frost delays. Crazy weather everywhere. I'm digging out from 1.5 feet of snow north of Toronto. Prayers for all those affected.
First I've heard of this. Holy Smokes! Brunswick County has had some terrible luck with tornadoes the past few years.
Terrible news. Sad for all those affected. The weather is so strange during this winter.

Ocean Ridge sent this to all their golf package providers today:
Good Morning Guys.
First of all, we would like to thank each of you for your help and for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The loss of life and property from the tornado was certainly tragic and devastating and we continue to ask that those who suffered such heartbreaking loss would remain in the hearts of everyone who is aware of this tragedy. The ownership, management and staff of Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf have been humbled by the outpouring of compassion for our property owners and for those concerned about the status of the golf courses and our employees.
Regarding the golf courses, anything outside the roughly 250 yard wide path of the actual tornado was spared any significant impact. In fact there was absolutely no damage at all to Leopard’s Chase, Tiger’s Eye or Panther’s Run. We were able to open those three courses after power was restored to the clubhouses (Just a couple of days after the storm had passed) The tornado damage was isolated to a relatively small section of Lion’s Paw, with the majority of the damage affecting only four or five holes and none of our golf facilities were impacted. We did lose many trees along the path of the storm, but we have been working diligently to organize and remove the debris and to make any necessary repairs needed to reopen Lion’s Paw. We could have opened the back nine this past weekend, but we chose to wait and open all 18 holes together today (Wednesday) We will still be removing debris from the perimeter areas for a while, but we expect cleanup to be 100% complete soon.
Please feel free to pass this information along to all of your staff, if you will. (We are also working on some golf promotions to get to you guys in the next couple of days)
Thank you again for all you do for us and please let us know if you have any questions or if there is any way we can be of assistance to you and your guests.
