Does anyone have any tips for getting better rates than the airport renters. I'm coming from 11/13 to 11 removed link   Online sites like travelocity, Kayak, etc, only list airport renters. Rates well over $300 seem a little high to me for a standard car, or is that par for rates these days?

Many of the forum members didn't travel to MB this year, so it's hard to know
how CV has affected the car rental rates.

There used to be some car rentals that were not in the airport, but not far away,
but then you are delayed waiting for their shuttle.

Either way, compare rates that include all taxes + fees.

Thanks Art. I'll take a closer look and see if I can find some off-airport renters with shuttles, which I don't mind. In the mean time, if anyone has got a good rate in the past off the airport let me know.

I tend to use autoslash.com which checks various sites.  Haven't tried it Myrtle Beach, but you can have it check non-airport locations.

Thanks BrewCrew. I took a look and saw they have a price tracking option so I might try them. I can drive down from PA but the 570 miles gets tiresome, especially when I travel solo.
