Playing Willbrook in a couple weeks-- and never played there. What should I expect as far as condition/course layout this time of year?

Expect a very nice layout - WB has always been in good shape when I played there

You'll have a great time

Don't know about current conditions but typically the course is well maintained.  Beautiful place.  Very aesthetically pleasing and lots of low country charm.  If you play it when the flowers are blooming, it's hard to beat.

The course is very solid.  Here's a link to a YouTube video with an overview.

Looking forward to the report.

On the dogleg holes, you are better off not trying to cut the corner and playing to
the wide side.

Thanks for all the replies-- from the video -- resembles a wee bit Heritage-- which I've played 15 or so times. If that's the case-- I'm looking forward to it!

I played Tradition a couple of weeks ago which is just down the road, or across the road on back 9 of Tradition. Just like Tradition, Willbrook appeared to be green with wall to wall overseed. It look to be in good shape.

I'm 100 % you don't have to worry about the conditions at Willbrook and neither about the layout!

And if you like playing Heritage, you'll get the same feeling at Willbrook.

That said, just be aware about hole #1 (a par 4), wich is IMHO one of the most difficult starting hole on the Grand Strand.

Have fun!

Willbrook is a good southern end course, always in great shape when I've made the drive from Carolina forest.
