Played here today under cloudy skies, not much wind and surprisingly no CPO after an inch and half of rain the past few days.  The course was very quiet and we teed off at 9am, POP  3 hours even.

Fairways were on the soft side, but the ball sat up nicely after rolling it to a firmer area, speaking of roll none today and few shots had to be dug out then cleaned of mud.  Greens had not been cut yet but they rolled smoothly and would say a solid 8 for speed.  Traps were in the process of being raked by staff and the one I was in was easy to get out of, plenty of sand under the ball.  Tee areas again on the soft side and fairly even except for the tee block placement on hole 17.  Overall the course was better then decent and with this weeks sun and warmer weather returning it will only get better IMO.

Thanks Gary for this input!

Is Rivers Hills a course you play often during your winter stay?

@denisgilbert

Denis, we will play River Hills approx. 6 times this winter, love the course and layout plus the conditions are generally top shelf.

Soft is the key word. Not surprising with the recent weather in MB. RH has some great holes and this golf course offers a good value for our canadian dollar ???? thanks Leftygar for this quick update.

RH is a good choice to play several times if you factor price/ conditions.

Enjoy.

RH #18 is the 7 Hdc hole, but for most is probably the hardest.
The 2nd shot is very steeply up hill, requiring 2-3 extra clubs and a high shot.

Thanks for report!

A hidden gem - always in good shape. Lots of great holes and a tough course to score well on. 4 and 5 are a one two punch that can make or break your day. Art is right about 18 - and the green is not deep either.
