I have always been a fan of RC, and it's in good condition Rye is gone in the fairways, greens rolled real well but slow. Excellent variety of holes. # 15 is one of the toughest par 4's on the strand. Not overly difficult, but a good challenge. Not as beautiful as Willbrook or the Pawley's courses - but well worth playing.

I'm a fan of River Club as well. I too would give the nod to Willbrook over RC, but can't go wrong with either.
Thanks for the report on an excellent course.
Big fan of RC. Just a solid course. Glad to hear it is back open.
Thanks @UGP!
I'm in the same "boat" like many people here, meaning that I really like this place and their friendly staff too!
River Club is a place that let you feel very welcome on each visit!
Can't wait to be back!

Havent Play it in years but looks as good as ever. I enjoyed playing there when i did.
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
Love the Par 3's at River Club. Finishing on 18 gives you a very good chance at an eagle or birdie.
RC has two short par 5's with gambles on both holes that can help or hurt your scoring.

Eagled 18 once.
Almost an albatross.
That said, I thought the design was average.
Played Litchfield the next day and I liked Litchfield a bit more.
Litchfield may be a little under rated ??

Love the back 9 @ RC.
Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.
