Every Friday for the last 8 weeks, we have had the same match. Quevy and his partner vs UGP and my partner. No one has won both sides though money has changed hands on all the side bets. We play 5-2-1 $5 per side $2 birdies $1 Greenies. This Friday an extraordinary thing happened. Quevy's team won the front side 1 up - we teed off on 10 forst. Then my partner birdied 1 and 6 and UGP birdied 2,3,and 4 and we were rolling on to win the back side, We get to the last hole, (the back side is closed out)#9 a tough par 4 and I say to my partner, we can only lose money if they both birdie the hole!. Quevy's partner holes out from the greenside bunker and Quevy rolls in a 15 footer, both for birdie and I lose two bucks! FYI - as a foursome we made 10 birdies on the last 9 holes! Greens were good, but not as good as they have been.
Just a few pics today

@UGP : seems like your friend Quevy is some "tough cookie" on a golf course... and so you are! 😉
Thanks again for sharing!

Sounds like a great match and very good playing.
Brownwood Bandit
Agree with y'all sounded like a good match.
Sounds like a better match to watch then the up coming Tiger/Peyton vs Phil/Brady.
Thanks for the update!
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!

Front was OK - but the back got hot from 10 to 18!

I made a 15 footer for birdie on 18 the week before to change everything - so it all evens out.

UPDATE 5.10.20
Played this morning-in 3.5 hrs. Place nearly deserted when we teed off. Count it up to Mother's Day.
Played the Silver Tees for the first time. Brought along a first timer and she loved the layout/challenge.
Three biggest takeaways from today's round: 1. Front nine greens were disappointing (for Grande Dunes). Backside greens are near perfect. 2. Again, I know little about agronomy/maintenance, but the "green surrounds"-entrances, left/right turf/"scruff" was so good I actually noticed it. Kudos to the staff; they know their grass. 3. I've always maintained if I had ONE course to recommend to first time friends/visitors in MB it would be Grande Dunes.
