I had never played these courses prior to this week despite multiple trips to Myrtle Beach over the past couple of decades.
Played the Resort Course the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday. Despite rain all day Friday and early Saturday, the course was not that wet. Obviously drains very well. A fun course to play with a good variety of holes and challenging green complexes. The greens were in great shape and ran fast despite the previous days' rain. Pace of play was three hours as i expect the parties started early Sunday afternoon.
Played Wild Wing the day after the Chiefs win. It is a great layout surrounded by nature. Tee boxes were in great shape and fairways/rough had minimal bare or thin spots. Fairways were still a bit damp while greens were quick. Pace of play was four hours.
Both courses I will definitely play again and wondering why i had not started playing them several years ago.
Two very nice courses that I have played multiple times. Glad you enjoyed them.

I tend to play both GD and WW somewhat often with Quevy in the afternoons after he gets off work. Enjoy both of them though they are very different in their design. Conditions at both courses have been very good all year long. If I had to pick one over the other it would be GD.
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
