Only 5 rounds thus far in May; weather was an issue during week 1 plus I worked the OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic (which was fun, driving range duty for two days).  Played Sandpiper Bay 05/15 & 05/19, course conditions are pretty good, a few worn spots which do affect play & routing, paths are quite rough, (especially on the Bay nine), staff was great, range balls included, POP was just over 4 hrs.  05/11 Leopard's Chase, caught a great deal for greens fee off the internet, conditions were really good, great greens, the course was very empty as storms were coming (we got blitzed on the last hole), always highly recommend this course.  05/12 Myrtle Beach National West, first time back to this course in 10 years, conditions were pretty good except for the tee on #18 and work on another back nine tee, greens smooth but a bit slow, it may be the best "warm-up course" for anyone on a golf excursion from the north, very little water in play and there are run-up areas in front of greens.  05/20 True Blue Golf Plantation, again had a great deal by a local friend who organizes golf outings, range balls included, conditions were terrific from tee to fairway but the greens are peculiar as they are patchy with a variety of grasses, some bumps and a few ongoing repairs on the surrounds, green speed is pretty quick, especially downhillers, phenomenal bunker complexes, great service.

You noticed what I saw on the greens at True Blue.
They are invaded by the fairway bermuda grass, some a lot
more than others.    The quick green speed helps hide the issue.

Thanks for your report.

Same weather in the North. April and May were colder than usual. Playing golf was a challenge. Nice to receive some news for these golf courses. Thanks for your report.
