This statement in the article brings back memories.....

"If County Council does not approve the redevelopment, then The Wizard will remain a golf course. Schwerd said the owners could choose to shut down the course, but they ultimately could not build on it."

That is exactly what happened to a facility where I used to live.  2 golf courses, the owners wanted to build homes/business/whatever on one of the courses.  The city intervened and would not approve so they shut the course down.  For a while, it looked similar to what Bay Tree looked like for those years when it just sat there.  Property values tanked.  The city then filed Eminent Domain, there was a court battle, and ultimately the city bought the entire complex (both courses).

It sounds to me as if it would be approved, if the roads are improved first.

It does not sound like it affects MOW at this time.

If the course owner really wants to sell Wizard, he should say he will shut it down, instead
of keep running the course.   The HOA might not be so against it if the choice was houses or
weeds.    It was a traffic mess when the residents moved to Carolina Forest.
