It would have been more interesting if they had comments from Mystical, about if
the courses are for sale. I guess they are at the correct price.
It's hard deciding where to live if moving to MB, but it's easy to decide not to live along
501 or in Carolina Forest.

Art - I agree - living in the Carolina Forest area would drive me nuts - yet it is growing extremely fast.
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
Several years ago our group decided it just wasn't worth it to play anywhere near 501. Drive time just became a nightmare. Don't know how they could make improvements with all the retail places lining the road.
Well, believe me, living in an area (Houston TX) where toll roads and freeways have replaced many divided 4/5/6 lane highways...501 could be vastly improved. Even with all the retail lining the road, they have adequate median area and right of way on either side of 501 to put access roads along either side and a freeway, and or toll road, down the middle. But, the disruption and the hassle it will cause for a long period of time will be ugly. And, depending upon how it is done, some of those retail business along either side could go out of business if the disruption to access to their business takes too long.
I am one who will be praying that both MOW and The Wizard do not go on the block, good courses to play in the winter time. Thanks for posting this article.
Sad to hear if it is true!!!
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
Wizard owner said he would sell Wizard, but not MOW.

As they say..."It's gonna be interesting".
Not a bad plan on their part actually if they can pay off their debt by selling 1 of the 3.
Yep. This was on the local news last eve. Sounds like it is just a matter of time before the Wizard is next to go.
The land is so much more valuable as housing than the golf courses at MOW/Wizard. I think we're headed for overbuilding in MB.

Let's hope this is "fake news"!

Losing the Wizard would be sad. It is fun to play this course during the winter.
''It's just golf, let's have fun''
Losing any course is sad - even Colonial Charters would be bad.

Losing golf courses to development is indeed sad
