Played the Parklands on Nov. 19, nice sunny day temps close to 73* and once again not much wind, POP was just over 4 hours.  The course is in great condition, over seed has been completed and all tees and fairways were mowed down, only rolled the ball over 3 times all day.  Parklands is a solid course, we played the green tees this day and yardage was close to 6,000.  Greens were very quick, so far the fastest we have played, they are undulating so you had to be sure of your line, if you missed it the ball would run away from the hole pretty good. We had a few three putts lol.  All traps were groomed nicely and easy to hit out of.   The Bermuda roughs are still green and thick so at times finding a ball was difficult at times.  Over all though an enjoyable day and we will be back many times for sure.

Today, the 22nd we played Tigers Eye under sunny skies to begin with temps at 48* to 52* and maybe a 20 mph wind that picked up on the back nine as we lost our sun and it got a little chilly.  POP was slow just over 4 1/2 hours. A good layout, not to difficult if you play the proper tees for your game, we played mostly the white tees and moved up to the golds on holes into the wind to give us a chance to hit a green in regulation.  Two years ago the greens were terrible and had pot marks on every one, today no pot marks and a good amount of grass on them, downside is they were slow, maybe a 7 in terms of speed, still though once you knew you had to hit the putt firmly all was good.   Bunkers do need some work and they need to rake sand back into them as the grooming machine where it exits leaves a trail of sand and it looks shabby.  The tee areas are mostly good with the Par 3's thin in spots.  Fairways okay as well and the over seed is not thick but ball sat up decently.  Roughs are a work in progress with many areas being sodded with 3x3 pieces of turf, time will help in thickening them up.  Chances are will go back to play here, we will add Panthers Run and Leopards Chase to our list as well.

Do you think the TE greens were slow from overseed or just thick hybrid grass?

@artmbgolf I am really not sure Art, we had members behind us who said Tigers Eyes greens have been slow for some time, to me they may have been over seeded and are not yet ready to be cut down to quicken them up.  The over seeded tees were beginning to be cut down, esp. the ones in the sun most of the time, the shady ones were still a bit long.  Will play again as the price is very good and the layout is a good one as well.

@leftygar1

For the greens, it's too early in the Rye's life to cut and they need a little more time than the tee's to take root and survive "the cut".

@bnlongdriver We will be back regardless and hopefully by then the greens speed will pick up, best thing was to see they have improved from what we saw 2 years ago, not one pot mark.

@leftygar1 We had no problems with the greens. They were not fast. I would say they were medium. The rest of the course was as you reported.

We are looking forward to Monday.

Replayed Tigers Eye on the 31st of Dec. great day and temps close to 68*, maybe a half club wind and POP was 3:15.  Found the fairways thicker and greener, same to the tee blocks, traps were firm an still not groomed from a 2 inch rain for 2 days ago.  Greens have not quickened up, in fact we felt they were slower then Nov. game.  We were paired with 2 members who complained about greens as well, no real explanation other then to say they have been this way for some time.  That said I will still go back as the layout is better then decent.
