There is an article about wanting to connect the Grande Dunes area to the
Waterway Hills community, with a road.   Grande Dunes owner wants it to
provide more members from a new WH community.

The road got shot down.  If not approved, the Grande Dunes owner says he
will make the the course semi private.

I never realized that the bridge was the only access to that whole community.

I heard Waterway Hills has a private back road, but I never saw it.  They needed
it to bring in equipment, instead of the tram car, or to escape golfers if the tram
broke.

Played a few holes with a GD private member - he was dead set against Waterway using the GD bridge. They don't have very many members - I can see them going semi private and hurting the GD neighborhood

Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars

I agree UGP. It would be a bad decision.
