New owners of Azalea Sands, the same ones that at Eagle Nest,  have good plans for this golf course designed by Gene Hamm. According to this article, their objective is to maintain a high level of playing conditions at this golf course. The clubhouse and course are undergoing renovations this summer.

I really hope that conditions improve. I played there once this past winter and it was pretty bad.

Thanks for the information. It's always good to hear owners are willing to put money into a golf course to improve conditions.

The golf course architecture is not bad at all. Very similar to Beachwood.

It's good to keep Azalea Sands open and improved, but it has a long way to go to
even get to Eagle Nest status/level.   It's nice that the EN owners want to also keep
improving EN.

I agree. Eagle Nest is in a better shape now. It could be done also at Azalea Sands with a lot of money.

It would be a good thing for many golfers who enjoy playing Azalea Sands over the winter, not a hard course by any means and any sort of improvement will be well received.  Eagles Nest has improved esp. the greens.  Thanks for your post on this course.

I agree. This golf course is easy to access. Great location, near Beachwood. With better conditions, he could become very popular.
