Good morning everyone!

I wanted to pop in and let you guys know that for the first time since 9/28/1996 I am unemployed. I decided to step away from Golf Trek last week. If you have a golf package booked by me please call 800-394-3764 and ask who will be handling your golf package since I resigned.

I got started at Tee Time Central for MBN in 9/28/1996, Sunday PM shift, then after a few years I picked up at The Golf Desk in 1999 and rocked it out there for 16 years. I left there to for a new venture and formed MB Golf Packagers with The Best Of The Beach group and we did that for 5 years til COVD HIT. COVD exposed our weaknesses and Best of The Beach group decided to pair up with Golf Trek in June of 2020. I ran MB Golf Packagers for Golf Trek since June 2020 til last week. Taking a deep breath and will move forward - whether it be staying in the golf business here at the beach, or not. Unemployed for the first time in 26 years - feels weird!

Wow!  Elvis has left the building.

Someone is going to have some mighty big shoes to fill when it comes to all of us on this site booking our trips.  The knowledge and professionalism you brought to the job was unequaled.  Happy for you, but feeling kind of empty right now.  A friend I've spoken to, but never met.

Find what makes you happy and the rest will fall into place.  Best of luck!

Thank you for helping facilitate so many great packages and memories for me and my golf groups.  You will be missed.  I wish you nothing but the best in your future.  Stay well.

Sorry to hear that you aren't golf packaging for now.
Maybe the dynamic pricing got too frustrating?

You know all the packagers around MB, so maybe they need
expert help.    Check Brittain + SeaSide Resorts.

Wow!  I am shocked, but now I know why you did not return my email about changes to our package.  I will miss your friendship and the great work you did for our group.  You were (and are) the best.  That is why we booked with you for over 25 years!

Best of luck with whatever decision you make.  Thanks again for everything.

Good things always end up happening to good people!

For all of us here in this forum who have benefited from your immeasurable experience and unparalleled kindness, it is like a mourning that we have to cope with.

On the other hand, for you dear Brian, it's the start of a new adventure that will begin and I am fully convinced that no matter what this adventure will be, success will also come.

I will miss you...we will all miss you!

Thank you for everything (golf, stock car and most important, your friendship) and only the best for you and those you love!

Your French-Canadian "country gent",

Denis

You were playing on a fractured foot Brian. Another softball injury I think.

Glen Dornoch

Had some good times on and off the links. Great golf, great happy hours, great stories and great memories.

From a selfish point of view I hope they continue, but understandable if better offers come from elsewhere.

I want to wish you the best of luck in your next chapter. I know you will land on your feet because that is what you do, even when your feet are broken.

One of my favorite memories is when you teed off at Barefoot Dye . A 300 yard skyball. I'm waiting for the ball to land then I see you are already in the cart ..talking to Minta while driving her to the forward tees before the ball lands.

Ditto everything jw11 said

We played with Brian that same year when it looked like he had a golf ball on his ankle under that sock.

We played Arrowhead, don't remember which hole or which nine we were on, but a fairly lengthy par five with a creek crossing the Fairway that should only come into play on your 2nd shot.

Brian hobbled up to the tee & launches one that FLEW the creek on the fly

Did the math when we got to the ball, we were about 370 yards from the tee.

From TPC, many years ago....

Hey Buddy,   please let us all know where you land.  Heard about you leaving from a friend I had referred to you that someone else had taken over their booking for next week.

I haven't booked a big group trip with you in about 7 yrs but have been sending friends to you for theirs. I booked with many different companies previous to finding you & never went with another booker since, from groups of 4 to 48,  you were the man.

Thanks for the years of dedication.....its really appreciated.

Frank

Brian - I just found out this week that you have left Golf Trek as I had contacted you about finalising the last couple of details for our April trip and was contacted by a guy called Ben instead of yourself.

I just want to say thanks for all the work you've done over the years organising our MB trips. This year will be our 25th trip with our first year visiting MB being 1994. We didn't use you for that trip but we found you and Golf Desk pretty quickly and have used you ever since. You've always been a pleasure to deal with and I know everyone who uses the forum is hugely appreciative of your support and involvement with it.

While for selfish reasons I hope you do decide to get back in the golf package business as you would have our business for sure do take some time off if you need it. Sometimes when you've been doing a job for a long time you need a break from it to think about whether that is what you want to keep doing for the rest of your working life. I know you'll be a success at whatever you choose to do so enjoy some time off, recharge the batteries and good luck for the future. I hope our paths will cross again.

Best

Frosty/Scott

Late to the party on this one as well.  Just wanted to wish Brian all the best in whatever direction life takes him next.  After bouncing around between packagers for our first few trips, we have exclusively used Brian since finding him and this site.  It is sad to see him go, and I can confidently say no-one will be able to fill his shoes and provide the service, knowledge and great advice on golf trips to Myrtle Beach.

Thanks again for everything Brian

I appreciate all of you and your comments, it is incredible to hear the kind words that are being said. All I have done through my golf career was to - treat people the way that I wanted to be treated if I were in your shoes. Tooo many times the "good guy" has an issue and pays the price; while the "not so good guy" skates by and doesn't. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for recognizing that I do it the right way and to the best of my ability!!

I flirted with several non golf business openings, had an interview or two, but none seemed to be a good fit and put me WAAAAAAAY outside of my comfort zone (which isn't a bad thing at times). I'll be making an announcement soon, more than likely on 4/1/22 when I start my new employment opportunity. I begin training in the Reservations Department to learn their systems on 3/14/22 and transition to manage the Golf Departments on 4/1/22. I'll be able to continue to serve as many of you, and hopefully grow to serve more, in the same capacity as I have in the past. So I'll look forward to serving many of you again in the future. Colby is changing the phone number on the site to my cell phone (843-333-4858) for the next 2 weeks, or you can email me anytime at Brian@MyrtleBeachGolfTalk.com.

While I am starting a new opportunity and many of you had your package booked with me for Spring. I am not abandoning you, leave no man behind! If you need help with that package, or advice, even though I do not work there anymore, I will continue to be here for you and do everything I can to continue to assist you!!

Thank you again for the overwhelming support!!

Your Friend in Golf,
Brian Noblin
