Greetings!
Weather: it was rainy at the start of the day, but miraculously, the sun came out around midday and we were able to play our round without any problems, with a very nice 81 degrees, once again!
To round off our stay in Myrtle Beach, we had a perfect day of golf, this time at Grande Dunes, a course that deserves all the credit it usually gets! The last time we played there was in 2018 and this "reunion" was very much appreciated once again!
From the outset, as soon as you cross the bridge from HWY 17 to go to the club house, you know that you’re in for something that is out of the ordinary. Service was outstanding from start to finish and the course itself was in pristine condition from tees to greens.
Grande Dunes, which underwent major renovations to the sand traps and greens in the summer of 2022, offers golfers no less than six set of tee boxes. We personally played from the whites, for a total distance of 6,277 yards, and from 5,353 yards from the ladies tees (see scorecard at https://www.grandedunesgolf.com/hole-photos-and-scorecard/ ).
As the starter said so well to us before the beginning of our round, this is a course that must be played as if it were a little longer than the tee markers indicate. So, depending on your handicap, be sure to select the tee boxes that are right for you.
That said, the course is very permissive. The fairways are wide and where there is a real risk for you to lose shots is on the greens, because they are huge. Hence the importance of properly placing your approach shots, to avoid potential three putts!
All in all, Grande Dunes is a “must” and it’s for sure in the Top 10 on the Grand Strand. If you've never played it, Grande Dunes is a must to add to your calendar!
So, that sums up our wonderful golf trip to Myrtle Beach. We hope you enjoyed it, and we can't wait to go back! Thanks for reading!
My most sincere thanks to our favorite Brian Noblin from Elliot Beach Rentals ( https://www.elliottbeachrentals.com/ and 1-888-272-7263, extension 330) for providing us with top-quality expertise, that is, as always, second to none!
Without him, none of this would have been possible!

Grande Dunes never disappoints, such a fun, scenic and strategic layout. Customer service is always excellent. Gigundo fairways result in many fairways hit; the real challenge is getting the ball on the green in the correct quadrant as 3 putts abound!!

Great reporting Denis.
Looks like you picked the perfect time to visit.
Congrats on a good trip

We were at AH on 5/9 with a 9am tee time and found everyone having
a 1 hour delayed start for the rain. It turned out great for those who
didn't give up too early.
Thanks for all your reports!

Been great reading all your reports Denis, you finished the trip off in style with a game at Grande Dunes.
Agree about a course that is a must play. Have played nearly every year when in MB.
