Greetings!

Full sun and 86 degrees on this Wednesday, April 30, when we had a rendez-vous, for the only our second visit, at the Diamondback Golf Club at Woodland Valley, in Loris, West of Myrtle Beach, a course that has benefited from significant improvements in recent years!

From the outset, we are talking about an option here that is both economical, very honest, and where you will feel both welcome and comfortable, because it feels like you are on a course that looks lie those we have north of our border.

Without being too difficult, Diamondback is what we can call a "target golf" type course. On this par 72 which stretches 6073 yards from the whites and 4716 from the reds (see scorecard on https://playdiamondbackgolf.com/scorecard/ ) , there is water, as well as traps, on every single hole, but if your game is sharp, you will appreciate your experience without any problem.

The design of the course itself is really very successful, more particularly the first nine holes, which are more "sexy" than the back nine, in our humble opinion. We also really liked the four par 5s offered by this course, and more especially hole #7, which is only 453 yards for the whites (and 388 yards for the reds), but which is probably the "signature hole" of the course.

All in all, we had a great afternoon of golf and if ever, when planning a golf package you have to find the right balance to combine high end, mid range and budget type courses, then maybe Diamondback is absolutely worth considering and offers one of the better values in the vast Myrtle Beach area.

Diamondback, we’ll be back!

Next round on Thursday May 1st at Leopard’s Chase!

Hate the course. One of my least favorite courses in the area.

I love this course Denis. Very few homes and a lot of tree sand wildlife with good conditions and good prices. If you spray the ball you may not like this course fyi

@jw11

I'll play it again sometime.  I couldn't control my tee ball the day I played and it ate me up!

Thanks for the report on a course I have never played. It never enters my mind to put it on the list.
