Greetings!
We are pleased to be back and share with you, in the next few weeks, our golf adventures in golf mecca, Myrtle Beach.
And it all started extremely well no later than this afternoon, under a mixture of sun and clouds and an ideal temperature which reached 84 degrees Farenheit, while we had an appointment at Burning Ridge Golf Club.
This course from the Founders Group International, which includes a total of 22 courses throughout the Myrtle Beach area, is truly a nice surprise!
If, when you are preparing a golf package, you are looking for a course that will allow you to "eliminate rust" and give you confidence for the rest of your golf trip, you will have difficulty finding a better option than Burning Ridge Golf Club.
Located just off Highway 501, Burning Ridge Golf Club is a course that is played just over 6200 yards from the white tees. But what seduces even more is how well it is set for the ladies, since it is played at 4524 yards (see scorecard on https://burningridgegolfclub.com/scorecard/). In short, for people who like to play as couples, you have almost the best of both worlds.
The design is very varied and there are no boring holes. Most of the greens are slightly elevated and they are very well protected by sand traps, which were well maintained during our visit. Speaking of the greens, those were close to impeccable today (despite their appearance), moderately fast and held the line.
There is some water on this course, but nothing to worry about most of the time. There is also home development, but then again, nothing to affect your game!
That said, hole # 1 is most likely the most intimidating, mainly because of its length (546 yards of white tees and 424 yards for ladies). Par 3s on the 12th and 17th holes offer a great challenge.
In short, if you pay a visit at Burning Ridge Golf Club in the upcoming weeks or months, you will not be disappointed for sure! The conditions are really good, it is a beautiful golf challenge all types of players will find what they are looking for!
And kudos to the friendly staff, who make us feel like we were members! We strongly recommend!
Next round on Thursday April 24 at Arrowhead!

Thanks for the report and with pictures too. Glad you enjoyed BR as I think it is a very underrated course. Wish they still had 36 holes as I once had a career round on the West course that is now a housing development!
Nice course to start on Denis. Seems like you and I are the only posters to talk about this under rated course.
Glad your vacation is just starting my friend. Hey how were the cart paths ?

Nice to "hear" from you John! Hope you're doing OK and that your back doesn't make you suffer too much... and affect your golf!
As for the cart paths at Burning Ridge, they were for the most part remade not too long ago so... good for your back my friend! 😉
