We seem to play RE every few years. The layout is so good, we give it leniency for conditions, usually related to the greens. Too slow /or bumpy, etc. This year, Our patience was rewarded. Conditions at RE, especially the greens are as good as we've ever seen them. Still not the fastest greenss we played this week, but decent pace and true roll.
Another course with fast fairways and even faster rough, so the straighter the shot shape the better..curve balls can easily scamper into the woods.
I was still bumping hybrids around the greens due th the extremely tight lies...but that's my problem, not the golf course's.
Pace was so- so. We teed of at 9:02 & were done almost 1:30. Quick bite & back out for 18 more at 2pm.
Highlight of the day...short par 4, 260 yds from white tees, #14. Frank puts his tee shot on tge green & 2 putts for birdie. Was about 6" off left fringe in the afternoon & managed another 2 putt birdie. I cut the pm skin w=3 wood, gap wedge 1 putt....old school birdie.
Right now, I would give RE a big Thumbs up for play.
Be sure & say HI to Jon the starter...90 years old and sharper than most people walkin around these days. Fun guy to talk to.
Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.
Thanks for the RE report. Looking forward to playing there next week.
Thanks for the report. Never had an unenjoyable round at RE, a few "bad" rounds but self inflicted
Thanks Skippy for those great news about Rivers Edge!
It will be on my schedule, more specifically this upcoming May 10!
Can't wait!

RE is very pleasant to the eyes. Top 5 scenic in the MB golf scene
Thanks for reporting Skippy

Good reporting. RE greens never seem to be very fast, but if that's what they need to do to keep them in nice shape, I'll take it. The last several years I've played RE, the greens were in very good condition.
Played RE 4.24 Course in very good shape - greens slow as reported. Love this course, fits my game - wish it was closer, though MBN is about the same driving time for me but longer for my partners.
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
I played at RE 2 days before you did, I agree, course is still in good shape.
I stopped in MB for a couple of nights on the way down to Orlando, had to play my fave MB area course.
