Day 7 Round 1
Course: Burning Ridge (First time playing)
Greens: Good, reasonably fast
Fairways: Decent Fairways were some what green
Rough: Not overseeded
CPO: No
People I played with: Very friendly and told me right off, that they were here to have fun and to play ready golf
Notes: No beverage cart
POP: 3.75 hours. They were double teeing. We were the first group out on hole #1 and played the front 9 in 80 minutes.
Day 7 Round 2
Course: Wild Wing Avocet (First time playing)
Greens: Good, very fast
Fairways: Decent Fairways were some what green
Rough: Not overseeded
CPO: No
People I played with: Played alone
Notes: No beverage cart
They told me it was a links style course. Played a few in the past and they looked nothing like this
Once you tee off, you never come back to the club house
POP: 3.5 hours. Waited on every hole after #5.
Breakfast: IHOP. Was good for the money
Lunch: Wild Wing Resto, Just OK
Dinner: Grumpy Monk. Lots of mediocre food for the money
Overall Day Rating: 7.5
Tomorrow: Myrtlewood (First time)
Thanks for reading.
I also would not call Wild Wing a links style.
Maybe they say that due to a double green.
It's mostly a modern traditional style.
At Myrtlewood, Palmetto doesn't return to the clubhouse,
Pine Hills does.
Thanks!

Thanks for your report on both Burning Ridge and Wild Wing, weather was on your side for sure. Keep the reports coming.
Day 8
Course: Myrtlewood Palmetto (first time)
Greens: Very fast and undulating
Fairways: A little wet, but good. Fairways were green
Rough: Not overseeded
CPO: No except for 8, 13 and 14. Could understand 14 but not the others
People I played with: Played on my own
Notes: Noticed no signs at the tee box. Weird as you didn't know hole number or yardage if you didn't look at the scorecard
POP: 3 hours. It was chilly today. When I finished it was 48 degrees and breezy. 4 some on number 5 let me play through and then caught up to the next group on 15.
Breakfast: Harry's Resto. Was good and fast when I didn't need them to be fast
Dinner: Hooters was decent
Overall Day Rating: 9.5
Tomorrow: Glen Dornach (First time)
Good to hear about fast, undulating greens. Palmetto did some renovations recently, but not sure if new greens were part of them
"King Of The Mid-tiers"
Day 9
Course: Glen Dornoch (first time)
Greens: Semi fast
Fairways: A little wet, but so so. Fairways were semi green
Rough: Not overseeded, not only that, many were very thin and your ball would roll for ever
CPO: No except for a couple
People I played with: Played on my own
Notes: Nothing special, probably the worst course condition to date.
POP: 3 hours 10 minutes. It was chilly today. A very slow two some let me place slow. Then caught up to next group on 14
Breakfast: Theo's Pancake House. Very good and very fast
Dinner: Went to Sam Snead's. Food was good, service was so so
Overall Day Rating: 7.5
Tomorrow: Was supposed to play Crow Creek and Pearl. Pearl will be closed. So I will hopefully play Crow Creek (Played before) and Oyster Bay (Never played)
Thanks for reading
And sincere thanks @kano-mike for reporting!
Hoping conditions will improve for those who will play the course in upcoming weeks!

If you are trying different breakfast places each day, try Dino's
in front of Azalea Sands, if it's on your way to golf.
Thanks for reporting!

Not surprised at Glen Dornach - course has been in rough shape for a long time
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
Day 10 Round 1
Course: Crow Creek
Greens: Good, reasonably fast
Fairways: Very good, fairways are very lush
Rough: Not overseeded
CPO: No
People I played with: Played alone
Notes: No beverage cart
POP: 2 hours 20 minutes. 90 minute frost delay and I was 1st out after that
Day 10 Round 2
Course: Oyster Bay (First time playing)
Greens: Good, faster than they looked. Looked kind of shaggy
Fairways: Decent Fairways with very little green
Rough: Not overseeded
CPO: No
People I played with: Played alone
Notes: No beverage cart
No signs or trash containers at the tee boxes
POP: 2.5 hours. They sent out 30 minutes early on hole 10. Waited on the 9th hole I played and then again on the 15th hole I played. A very interesting course.
Breakfast: Dino's as recommended by ArtMBGolf. Was good, will visit again
Lunch: Bar Louie, good value, menu seemed limited
Dinner: Grumpy Monk. Lots of mediocre food for the money
Overall Day Rating: 9.5
Tomorrow: Beachwood (First time) But I think it is going to be too cold.
Thanks for reading.
Really enjoying your reports, thanks !! Hope it's not too cold and you get Beachwood in tomorrow.
Thanks for all your reports, agree with Glen Dornoch and their conditioning troubles. Playing Oyster Bay next week and am now looking forward to it. Art gave you a good tip on Dino's for breakfast, across the street in Plantation Pancake House that is also owned by Dino's. If you get down to play Tidewater try The Shack on Sea Mountain Highway for breakfast, very good and you get lots for your buck.
You will probably have more pairings if it warms up.
If a course isn't busy, they usually don't have a bev cart running,
but they should tell us.
OB is very interesting, which is why we keep wanting it to improve
conditions.
Thanks!

Greens: Good semi fast
Fairways: Decent Fairways with very little green

Nobody at snack bar
Par 3's were long. Used 3 wood on 2 of them and driver on another
POP: 3.5 hours. Nobody let me play thru on the first nine holes, 2 groups did on the back, so play picked up.
Lunch: Buffalo Wild Wings
Dinner: Local on the Water, next to Boardwalk Billy's. Very good. Should have had the full rack of ribs
Overall Day Rating: 8.5
Tomorrow: Blackmoor (Not the first time)
Business call tomorrow at 9 AM, just to remind me that I am not fully retired yet

It's good that you got a round in today.
It looks like it should be warming up some now.
