There are some dooooosies of Par 4's in Myrtle Beach ... so which one is the hardest? I'll list a few and please feel free to nominate a Par 4 if you like. We'll add it to the choices in the Poll, we're not lacking for qualified holes or qualified people to nominate holes - that's for sure!!!

Any par 4 where the yardage starts with a "4" qualifies for me, but I voted tpc #9. Dont think I've ever come close to hitting that green in regulation
Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.
The 3 I thought of, before looking at Brian's poll, are:
OB 16 - TW 18 - TPC 9
A few more:
BF Dye 7 + 18 - Heritage 14 - Rivers Edge 16 - River Club 15

I immediately thought of TPC #9 when I glanced at the post, even though last time I played it I had a makeable birdie putt. Prior to that it was nothing but bogies. You better hit a long, straight tee shot if you even want to hit the green in two!
16 at GD also sucks. 🙂
The toughest par 4 is the 18th at any course when you've got a career round going. So many to choose from - I picked GD 16, but so many others. I think it's # 9 at Wachesaw East (could be 18) is really difficult, TPC 9 is only tough because of the distance - which is daunting for us old guys - usually Driver Driver and I might get there - but there are other long holes at TPC that I consider tight and tougher. Going to have to think about others. 9 at MOW is up there.

Barefoot Fazio #5. 440 all uphill
I voted for TPC #9. But I did birdie it once from 80 yards out.
I agree with TPC 9. I have hit some of my best drives there and still could not sniff the green! Seems like always into the wind too.
I voted for Glen Dornach but OB #10 play long up hill, Also agree Heritage 14 don't think I have par it.
Brownwood Bandit
Voted for 18 at TW, would also say hole #13 at Arcadian Shores can give most golfers fits, esp. into any type of wind.
For me it is GD 16th hole. Tough one.

Another fun thread. To me, for a par-four to be labelled the toughest it needs to bring double-bogey into play with the slightest mishap on both the tee shot and the approach shot. Although #9 at TPC is a tough to par because of it's length, the hole isn't scary in the sense you can get very sloppy and still walk away with just a bogey.
My vote is True Blue #18, that hole has ruined a couple good rounds of mine. Hook off the tee gets you wet. Sloppy approach gets you wet. Even after hitting the green par can be tough with the severely sloped green if the pin is front right. Make no mistake, Tidewater #18 and Oyster #16 are also brutally difficult holes.
Glen Dornoch #16 has double-bogey potential but the drive is easy, so it's just the 2nd shot that needs to be managed. Pine Lakes #3 is also that way ... tee shot easy, approach shot brutal with no bail out. Glen Dornoch #18 and BF Fazio #18 from the tips are both extremely difficult but from the white tees aren't that tough.
Though not as tough as the holes listed above, #1 at Willbrook and #1 at Brick Landing are probably the toughest *starting* holes on the Grand Strand.
Cane Patch #7 is a bear.
Joking, of course.
I love this topic , but, not playing most of the courses more than twice, I can't remember holes like y'all can.
I can name the tough 4's in Northern Illinois, but not MB.
The only one I can picture is Dornoch's 16th.
That's a beauty as well as 17 & 18.
Carry on.

Love # 9 Witch - have to hit a precise drive to have a good shot at the green. Would really be difficult if the water came right up to the edge of the green.

I agree with 1putt1 - it's why I didn't rank 9 at TPC. TB 18 is such a tough driving hole, and the shape of the green make either a 2 putt or an up and down very difficult. And with the water at the green, the tendency is to hit too much club, and getting it up and down from over the green is near impossible.
