So I watch my weight all year, I am not eating healthy at Myrtle.  Coming down end of March.  Hear good things about Pop Pops BBQ on Rte 707 and Fenway Grill (for hot dogs).. Have not been to either....thougths?  Something better?

I have not heard of those 2 places, but they look highly rated on Trip Advisor.

For BBQ, I like Lil Pigs, 62nd Ave N on 17 Bypass.  It's a order at counter and take out or
sit at one of their tables.  It not a waitress restaurant.
When ready for BBQ Ribs, I like Carolina Roadhouse, Calif Dreaming, Boundary House.

I agree with Art on the BBQ.   For hot dogs I would go with Sam's World of Dogs which is located on Business 17 not far from downtown.

I was recently thinking to myself that I have never had a hot dog other than from the golf course 19th hole

I'd bet a 'Chicago Style Hot Dog ' joynt would go over good in MB.

Vienna beef hot dog, tomato,  pepper ,onion, mustard on a poppy seed bun.

MBN has a great hot dog and fixings. I'm a Texas BBQ guy - looking for brisket or ribs that DON'T fall off the bone  - the best I've found in the MB area is Dickies - a TX chain. Best ribs are up north - Market BBQ in Minneapolis, Carson's in Chicago, Boneyard in Detroit. It's all personal choice.

I'm a hot dog guy, but I think my guys would kill me if I said, 'c'mon, let's go out for hot dogs'.

Brew - A great hot dog (of which there are few) truly is a tube steak. It has to be great all on its own without any bun or condiments. And that's another thing - the bun - when was the last time you had a great bun?

I’m always looking for great buns.

Speaking of which...what happened to the GC folder?

Best Hot Dog I ever had in MB was at the old Waterway Hills course. So good we sent someone back while playing 10 to get another for everyone. Would have had another after playing but grill was closed. It was the only good thing I remember about that place

Fenway, located across the street from the entrance to Possum Trot has good hot dogs, fries, and onion rings, the place is always busy on a nice day, outside area is tables and picnic tables, been once and found it to be very good.

Three little Pigs is darn good, and I moved here from the BBQ capital of the world.  Not a big place and no table service as mentioned.  If you have a large group I would suggest calling a head and getting one (or a few depending size of group) of their family take out packages with fixins and of course their sweet tea for the guys to enjoy at the condos on a night no one feels like going out.

Now, let's talk about a dive...  how about Hog Heaven?  It's all the way south, not far from the entrance to DeBordieu.  Great pulled pork sandwich, I think it was $5.

I played with a couple at True Blue a few years ago.  They recommended Hog Heaven for
a BBQ southern buffet.  It is a Dive.  The only thing any good was a pulled pork sandwich.
The rest was poor, IMO, and a small selection.
