Report out today that Chuck’s will not reopen. The owner was quoted saying so in the story from two tv stations. This hurts many of us who always enjoyed their Happy Hour.
The article doesn't give any reason. Maybe the owner is ready to retire
and sell anyway? More of this is going to happen everywhere, but many
will get reopened by someone else.

Hard to believe Chucks will be closing, it was always busy when we drove by this past winter. Can't recall ever having a poor meal there, will miss it for sure.
That's too bad.
Hopefully we don't see too many more permanent closings

Chuck’s Steak House will add to its four-decade history in Myrtle Beach after all
Dennis Lamberjack and his staff are preparing Chuck’s Steak House for a reopening within the next couple weeks.
Owner Dave Adams said in April that he didn’t plan to reopen the restaurant, but he has apparently had a change of heart.
“We’re planning on opening here soon. I don’t have an exact date yet but it should be within the next couple weeks,” said Lamberjack, who has been Chuck’s general manager for the past 22 years. “We’re planning on the whole management team and staff will be pretty much the same. “
Chuck’s is one of the longest standing restaurants on the Grand Strand, having opened in 1979. It closed on March 18 because of the coronavirus. Adams said in April he did not plan to reopen largely because of the impacts of COVID-19 and his “vision of the immediate future for the restaurant business,” and instead hoped to find someone to buy the property, building and business name.
The building has some recent improvements. Adams replaced the roof last year, and installed new refrigeration and a new heating and air conditioning system this past winter. The business also has a revamped website.

Friends i know love the Happy Hour there, and will be elated to see it will open again.
Hard to believe Chucks will be closing for the future. A big surprise for me. A big loss for many of us.
