I had the pleasure to play Whispering Pines this afternoon. A sunny day with 78 F. The starter made a good job, we started on time. This golf course is on my list since many years. I like to play there even if it is not an easy course -the slope is 127 from the white tees. This course has not received a lot of reviews during the past months, maybe it is because he is not included in the packages. The conditions are very good, except for many tee off. The greens are almost perfect except for the 18th hole. It is fun to putt on these greens. They have a good speed and putts keep the line. Wind is always a factor at Whispering Pines, do not be afraid to take one or two clubs more for to reach the greens. The fairways have been overseeded. In the rough, the bermuda grass is almost green now. We played the course in less than 5 hours, which is reasonable for April. If you have not played Whispering Pines, try it maybe you will be surprised.

Thanks @s333h for your take about a course we don't read very often about!

Played there only once and really did appreciate my experience down there!

WP is a good challenge.  They don't seem to be going after the package
players.

Thanks for reporting!

Played there a few years ago after a bad storm the night before. It was an enjoyable time and course was in good conditions. Glad to hear that is it still decent.

@s333h

All is good here after having one of the easiest trips home ever, traffic non existent mostly.  Downside only 1 nice day, the rest have been cooler then normal.  Enjoy MB to the fullest and see next season.
