The fall from grace conditioning wise of the big cats, outside of the actual MB courses that have closed, is one of the big disappointments about MB golf in recent times.
If all 5 courses were in prime conditioning I’d have them in the following order:
Leopard’s Chase
Tiger’s Eye
Thistle
Lion’s Paw/Panther’s Run
I suspect more people will have played Tiger’s Eye over the years to Leopard’s Chase which along with the temporary clubhouse at LC will be why it might come out top on a big cats vote - it’s the best design for me though which is why it’s my favourite of the four big cat options.
Always wonder how good a course Jaguar’s Lair might have been given that the big cat courses seemed to get better each time they built one.
I actually like Panthers Run a lot. In the past 5 years-while the 4 CAT courses have been in undesirable shape- Panthers Run has been the best conditioned of the 4. ( Thistle not 1of the 4 CATS )
