Interesting Bob, thank you!

So, do we set aside the private and semi-private? You have to include Surf Club and DeBordieu Golf Colony as they are both really good.

Looks like they didn't include the completely private courses.
IMO Pine Lakes and Arcadian Shores are not top 20. They have improved a lot,
but we can name a bunch we would still rate higher.
Possibly there are a lot of older pros, who are raters, who have worked at those 2
courses and have good memories.
If RE can be top 20 primarily on design, then Glen Dornoch + Oyster Bay
should be.

I was not asked to participate in this poll - I agree Art, Pine Lakes and Arcadian, while good courses are not top 20. Farmstead, Leopards Chase, River Hills, River Club are better than both.
Always a good discussion
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
I was also miffed to see PL & AS in there.
Good to see Arrowhead get its due.
That course seems to always be in tip top shape and is rarely mentioned towards the top.
Thanks Bob

I agree with much of their list. I love Pine Lakes and Arcadian when in good shape is good as well. I definitely have Pine Lakes in the top 20. Not sure about Arcadian though. Surprised Arrowhead was that high. It is always a good discussion about courses and rankings. I have some some heated to almost blows about course ratings and which courses are tougher. hahaha.
Well that list is compromised since UGP didnt give his take.
